Projects

On this site we list a couple of the projects that we at DC Opportunities R&D are involved in.

V2G2Pole

DC/DC V2G EV charging on light poles on public lighting grid retrofitted to 350/700V DC.

DC/DC V2G EV Charger Prototype on The Green Village in Delft, The Netherlands.

FLEXDC – Flexible Meshed DC Grid

The objective of this project is to develop the necessary network technology for the efficient operation of bipolar meshed DC distribution grids with bidirectional power flow and flexible demand. This enables a more cost-efficient way of distributing electric energy. This project aims at developing the missing network components.

FLEXINET

DC Opportunities will develop a power electronics converter for energy storage applications in particular for the connection with DC grids or other DC loads or sources. It can also be used for second life batteries. A prototype of a partial power converter will be designed and field tested in the Green Village.

Modular Solar Home Systems for Rural Electrification

A non-electrified village in Ethiopia where field studies are carried out.

OVL XXL – Openbare verlichting (OVL) en aanvullende services op grote schaal realiseren met gelijkspanningstechnologie (DC)

Case study on grid capacity of public lighting grids converted to DC and LED lighting.

DCDA – DC Domestic Appliances
